O Lord, we acknowledge that the only holy and elevated mind is Yours.
We acknowledge that our minds have been corrupted and mingled with the flesh, but thank you, Lord, for saving us from having a corrupt mind for the rest of our lives.
Now, we come to know You and Your word. Our minds have access to the understanding of Your word because You have entered us and empowered us with its strength and authority.
Thank You, God, because You have shown us the reality of our condition and we understand that it is not right. Now that we know and understand the truth of this condition of a passive mind, we renounce all areas of our mind that are passive.
We renounce the action of reading the Bible but, not obeying its words. We renounce living this way. Today, we reject the disobedience in our mind and in our heart.
We do not want to be in this condition any longer.
You have said the opposite, that we have a renewed mind, a regenerated mind where there is submission and obedience to You.
Lord, we ask your forgiveness for being like so. Forgive us, because after reading Your word, we continue to ignore and disobey your commandments. Forgive us, because sometimes we know we are doing something wrong and against Your nature, but, we still do it anyway. Forgive us, because we continue to let this passivity control our will when You have given us Your will.
But, thank You, Lord, that our minds are being cleansed by accepting, eating and drinking Your Word. No human, no other god, could cleanse us in this way. No religion or doctrine can renew our minds, only Your Living Word can.
Continue to lead us where our minds are not passive. We pray that we will be open to any and all instruction from You so that our minds will be filled more with Your presence, more with Your Word, and more with Your will.
We say to our minds, "Less of us, more of Christ." Less of how we think, more of how Christ thinks. We have a mind that only believes and is steadfast in the Word. This is our reality. We are not here to live for ourselves.
It is You, Lord, who takes all the initiative.
Let us work and live in the renewed mind in the name of Jesus, Amen.
